The Corliss Park Resident Appreciation Event was epic despite a thunderstorm and heavy rain prior to the 11am start.  THA staff and the MDG Construction team unveiled a plaque to honor Corliss Park resident Ezra Canty to kick off the celebration. The brand-new playground was named the Canty Recreational Park to honor the sportsmanship, hard work and dedication to his legacy as a New York Special Olympics Athlete. Ezra has won over 50 medals since he began competing for the Special Olympics in 1992. The playground dedication to Ezra Canty is one of many accolades to the 8 year Corliss Park resident.

After the dedication, Corliss Park residents enjoyed music, food, haircuts, hair braiding, airbrushed tees and a backpack giveaway at the Resident Appreciation Event.
