SECTION 8 – LANDLORD LIST
If you are a current Section 8 resident, please see your caseworker for the latest list of available apartments.
If you are a landlord looking to put your property on the Section 8 Available Housing List. Please complete the AVAILABLE HOUSING FORM.
Completed forms can be emailed to mike.belanger@troyhousing.org or mailed to the Section 8 Office at 12 Congress Street Troy, NY 12180.
NSPIRE INSPECTIONS
Effective October 1, 2025, THA will be changing their inspection requirements from the current HQS to NSPIRE. (click here to view the THA letter distributed to landlords)
THA Implementation of NSPIRE
Up to and including September 30, 2025, THA will be continuing HQS inspections but will be noting any NSPIRE related deficiencies seen during the course of inspection, and providing those to landlords as an education, preparation method. Repairs on NSPIRE deficiencies during this time are not required to continue receiving Housing Assistance payments but will be suggested.
THA is committed to supporting landlords through this transition to the NSPIRE standards. Over the next few months, we will be providing additional resources, including informative materials and interactive information sessions designed to help you navigate the new standards. Please look for information and other important NSPIRE information that may be coming soon.
Beginning October 1, 2025, THA will be fully implementing NSPIRE inspection standards, and all NSPIRE deficiencies must be completed within the required time frame in order to continue receiving Housing Assistance Payments.
