Corliss Park Playground Dedication

THA and MDG Real Estate Partners unveiled a plaque to honor Corliss Park Resident Ezra Canty in a Playground Dedication to kick off an epic Resident Appreciation Event Series. The brand-new playground at Corliss Park was named Canty Recreational Park to honor the sportsmanship, hard work, dedication and celebrate the legacy of Ezra Canty as a New York Special Olympics Athlete. The playground dedication to Ezra is one of many accolades to the 8-year Corliss Park resident.

Ezra has won over 50 medals since he began competing for the New York State Special Olympics & Special Olympic World Games in 1992.
Ezra has been featured in local newspapers, The Troy Record and Times Union (2003).
Ezra has been featured in the THA Neighborhoods, a quarterly publication/newsletter by the Troy Housing Authority.
Ezra has been featured on the cover of a Wheaties Box (1998).
Ezra travelled to Ireland where he was honored and featured on an Irish Postage Stamp.

After the playground dedication, Corliss Park residents enjoyed music, food, haircuts, hair braiding, airbrushed tees and a backpack/school supplies giveaway at the Resident Appreciation Event.

To celebrate the completion of the Bundle 2 Project, THA & MDG partnered for a 3-day Resident Appreciation Event at Margaret W. Phelan/Catherine Sweeney Apartments, Corliss Park Apartments and Grand Street Apartments…

200+ haircuts / hair braiding

Grand Street Ribbon Cutting

The Troy Housing Authority (THA) has partnered with MDG Real Estate Partners LLC (MDG) on the redevelopment of Bundle 2 Properties in the Troy Housing Authority Portfolio – Corliss Park, Catherine M. Sweeney, Grand Street and Margaret W. Phelan Apartments. Apartments at the above locations have completed In-Unit Improvements (New LED Lighting, New Flooring, Renovated Kitchens with New Appliances, New Bathrooms, Building System Upgrades, Exterior/Site Improvements and more. 

Grand Street Apartments recently held a ribbon cutting held to mark the completion of the redevelopment project.
