What do you ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR POSITION AT THA?

Growing up living in Griswold, I am familiar with some of the residents and the sense of community here. As the manager, giving back to the community and ensuring residents feel safe. Renovations to the living areas as well as the playground, gym and computer labs will benefit residents.

What do you want people to know about you?

Strong faith and belief in God. Passion for karaoke. I am open to the residents if needed the best way to reach me is via email.

What qualities make a great leader?

Patience, Compassion, Empathy. Put yourself in their shoes. Listen before you speak. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of your staff.

How do you balance projects, work load and supervising staff?

Faith. I have a great team, we help each other. The team steps up when needed. Reminding myself that work is work and home is home.

What do you look for in hiring future employees?

Empathy, quick learning skills and for maintenance to treat resident apts like they’re going into their mothers’ house.

If you could meet anyone from the past or present, who would it be? And why?

Sarah (Abrahams wife), she packed up her family and lived in a tent leaving all her “riches”. Sarah was obedient and had unwavering faith.

A key figure to your professional or personal development / career path – and why?

Deb Witkowski: A good leader who listens. Deb is very supportive and an inspiration. She has hired more people from different backgrounds including LGBTQ+ than THA has ever had.
