BUNDLE 2: RIBBON CUTTING CELEBRATES REVIVAL of 341 UNITS
The Troy Housing Authority (THA) has partnered with MDG Real Estate Partners LLC (MDG) as our co-developer partner to redevelop 52 residential and community facility buildings and 341 homes. According to Deborah Witkowski (Troy Housing Authority Executive Director), “together the Troy Portfolio Preservation Bundle 2 represents the transformation and preservation of four important THA communities: Bundle 2 – Corliss Park, Catherine M. Sweeney, Grand Street and Margaret W. Phelan Apartments.” A ribbon cutting was held in September 2026 to celebrate the completion of a $152 million investment into these properties. The massive project includes three playgrounds, 20 mobility-accessible units and 8 audio-visual accessible units.
The Troy Housing Authority is proud to have partnered with MDG Real Estate Partners, MDG Design and Construction, HUD, New York State Homes and Community Renewal, New York State Housing Finance Agency, J.P. Morgan Chase, PNC Bank and many others to fund improvements. Improvements include building façade repairs, new roofs, new windows, new doors, new water distribution and sewer lines, new garbage enclosures, new energy efficient HVAC systems, new front and exterior LED lighting, fully renovated kitchens including new cabinets, stone countertops, stainless steel energy efficient appliances, new flooring, new bathrooms, living room ceiling fans, repaired sidewalks, enhanced landscaping, new lighting and camera security measures, new mailbox and bus shelter structures, outdoor amenities including three playgrounds, parking area repairs and much more.
“We want housing that residents are proud to call home and communities where children have a place to play” says Troy Housing Authority Executive Director Deborah Witkowski at the September Bundle 2 ribbon cutting.
